Abstract
A new multilevel space vector PWM method based on phase-shift SPWM technique and conventional three-level space vector PWM technique is proposed for H-bridge cascaded inverters. The proposed approach is developed for H-bridge cascaded multilevel inverters used for induction motor control. Using this technique, the implementation of software and hardware is greatly simplified. And it can be extended to higher level inverters easily. The proposed technique has been verified by simulations and experiments with a three-cell cascaded inverter.
