  • Abstract
An adaptive microstrip antenna array is presented for GPRS transmit module of the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) cluster nodes. The proposed antenna element was orthogonal corner-fed and features an appropriate slot opening in the surface to achieve dual-frequency characteristic. Matching antenna elements appropriate with the divider to form a double patch planar antenna array, high gain obtained. Final simulation result shows that this antenna operates at 890-905MHz and 940-956MHz with return loss less than -10dB and port isolation less than -30dB, which can meet the GSM uplink and downlink frequency working band. Maximum gain of the antenna element is 6.27dB, gain of the planar array can up to 11.2dB which can greatly increase the transmission distance.
