Abstract :
The QoS provisioning in home networks is being more often considered for future use cases, where multiple high bandwidth flows are accommodated in the home environment. This paper investigates chosen characteristics of one of the home network control and management protocol suites, namely UPnP. Using network modeling tools, we evaluate UPnP QoS Architecture and its resource management influence on the end-to-end packet delay characteristics for different scheduling approaches.
