Abstract :
This paper presents a versatile averaging equivalent model of an integrative DC-DC converter structure, denominated here as Topology-Zero, which consists of a three-port circuit capable of performing like classic DC-DC converters (Buck, Boost and Buck-Boost) and 33 other configurations. The model developed is suitable for analyzing 36 synchronous and asynchronous topologies, and represents the unification of the converters into a single model representation. A systematic approach is presented for the derivation of DC and small-signal transfer functions. The educational value of the development is significant since it integrates all the basic converters into a single averaging model with remarkable simplicity. Simulation and experimental results validate the model developed.
