            Abstract : 
As a knowledge representation framework and a kind of probability inference engine, Bayesian networks are widely used in reasoning and decision-making. The situation assessment knowledge representation using the Bayesian networks, the steps to construct a Bayesian networks for situation assessment were presented, and the layers of events in the situation assessment system were analyzed. Finally, the process of how to use the Bayesian networks for situation assessment was showed by an example.
