Abstract :
This study aimed to investigate the impact of teachers´ teaching quality to students´ academic performance using teaching information. As students´ data nested in teachers´ data and it had the structure with two layers of data, this paper would use Hierarchical Linear Models. The results showed that : the effects of the four dimensions of teaching quality on academic performance and learning motivation were significant. The learning motivation was a partial mediator among the teaching quality and academic performance. It showed that the differences in students´ academic performance attributed in part to the levels of teachers´ teaching quality.
