An overview of the development of a system comprising of instruments based on the current-comparator technology, for calibration of ac shunts up to audio frequencies is presented. The instruments include an audio-frequency current-comparator, a calculable ac/dc resistor and an ampere-turn balancing circuit. The current comparator is a special multiple ratio audio-frequency current-comparator
