Abstract :
License plate location is the key component of automatic License Plate Recognition (LPR) system. In this paper a hybrid license plate location method based on characteristics of characters´ connection and projection is presented. This method can efficiently cope with the images of complex background. The experimental results show that the algorithm has high accuracy and robustness.
