Abstract :
Calculation of measurement uncertainty for complex quantities can in the general case be done with covariance matrices and Jacobians. We show analytically how complex uncertainties, with the assumption of circular uncertainty regions in the complex plane and uncorrelated variables, can be treated according to the procedures of GUM just as non-complex uncertainties
