Abstract :
Phase generated carrier technology is a very important method of signal demodulation in fiber optic sensors. The paper briefly presents the fundamentals of demodulation using a phase generated carrier, introduces the design of a digital demodulation system used in a fiber hydrophone based on the TMS320C6701 processor, demonstrates the hardware architecture as well as the flowchart of DSP software and gives the result of experiments.
