Abstract :
This paper presents a new 6 DOF motion tracking architecture which can be utilized in wide application area. Based on spatial IR intensity attenuation characteristics, 3D position and orientation of the device are estimated accurately in real-time, and its performance is more improved by inertial sensor fusion. The proposed system can be constructed with low-cost sensors, and it has advantageous architecture for downsizing without any deterioration of its performance.
