Abstract :
In general, a load balancing algorithm is composed of four policies: selection, transfer, information and location. In particular, the information and location policies have the most important role. This paper presents some effects of the state information for location and information policies in distributed load balancing algorithms. Many systems with distributed environments are attempting to use the load balancing concept. Some systems are already using it, and these are summarized. These systems are adopting various information and location policies. This paper analyses the relationships between the two policies currently used. Also, based on the results of the analysis, an information policy and a location policy are proposed
