Compact Disc Interactive is a new publishing medium using the compact disc to bring multimedia and interactivity to the consumer market. Interactive applications on CD-I range from art and music programs to adventure and learning games, from reference aids to tourists´ guides and catalogues. The process of creating a CD-I disc is described.<>
