  • Abstract
    In this paper, an efficient bi-prediction algorithm to reduce encoding time of HEVC is proposed. HEVC is the next generation video codec under standardization. The proposed bi-prediction method is a kind of bi-prediction skip algorithm. The proposed method can find the favorable condition of bi-prediction compare to forward (list0) and backward (list1) prediction. Therefore, the bi-prediction is conducted under the favorable condition.
