Abstract :
This paper has proposed an algorithm available to evaluate the distribution network reliability in the downtown area according to the current operation conditions. New reasonable indices are presented to calculate the distribution network reliability and an assessment result is given taking part of Beijing downtown area as an example. A fast and effective method to judge the feeders´ spare capacities and to improve the service restoration is provided, which leads to find out the weak points in the distribution network and provides the guides for the improvement of the power supply security and reliability.
