Abstract :
There are several different factors that affect the perceived quality of 3D content. In this paper we study how the overall 3D visual perception is affected by the contrast between the objects of interest and the background in 3D-displayed videos. Our evaluations showed that the Weber contrast between objects of interest and background should be within the range of -0.5 to 1.5 to provide viewers with high quality of 3D experience.
