Abstract :
In the deregulated power market, consistency to the power quality standards stimulates engineers to consider the system reconfiguration and coordinate among existing electric equipment and new ones. Recently, distributed generation (DG) becomes the most promising power source for both electric utilities and customers. This paper mainly presents the positive impact of installing DG on the system voltage profile and on the mitigating devices that is installed like the dynamic voltage restorer (DVR). The initial and running costs for a DVR are reduced by the effect of the existing DG. Digital simulation results are illustrated to prove the proposed ideas.
