Abstract :
The servo control systems driving a load through a shaft or a transmission system are widely used in industrial applications. Several control approaches such as PID control of motor speed, shaft torsional torque or its derivative feedback, load speed or acceleration feedback, are proposed to suppress the shaft torsional vibration separately. Our purpose is to analyze the relationship of the above-mentioned methods for both vibration suppression and disturbance rejection. A unifying analytical framework based on the pole assignment of an identical real part is introduced, merits and demerits for each scheme are evaluated
