Abstract
Nowadays in the field of communication, leaky coaxial cables (LCX) are widely used and their performances always determine the capability of a whole communication system. Considering the testing characteristics of LCX, the proposed testing system is designed based on LabVIEW, a developing tool of virtual instrument. With the help of DAQ module and GPIB technology, the hardware part with high efficiency is used to acquire the testing characteristics of LCX such as coupling loss etc. Furthermore considering the tolerance caused by either test site or test equipment, the system also offers correcting compensation to improve the accuracy of the test result. The software offers a user-friendly interface, which provides both data management and data analyses for LCX samples.
