Abstract :
This investigation presents an Active Star (AS) design to receive data from one ECU (electronic control unit) node, and then transmit data to other ECU nodes in an in-vehicle network compliant with FlexRay physical layer standards. The AS is composed of several FlexRay Transceivers (FRTs), which are used to act as individual transceiver. The FRT at least comprises two major blocks in the physical layer design: Major Controller and Bus Driver (BD) used to transmit or receive data on the bus.
