Abstract :
A CMOS operational amplifier having a symmetrical architecture is presented in comparison with the basic two-stage CMOS op amp. A small-signal equivalent model is derived for evaluation. SPICE simulations are used to verify the accuracy of the analytical evaluation and to emphasize the improvements in terms of common-mode range, frequency response and output current capability
