Abstract :
Based on the concept of value, waste and value stream, value stream analysis process is presented. It can delete wastes and optimize information flow and value stream in product development. A new kind of DSM optimization method is proposed to achieving seamless value flow with decomposition and integration, thus, to shorten project cycle and cut cost of project. Finally, the new optimization method is applied to a design process of a construction project, it shortens the design period by 33%.
