Abstract
Keeping a good relationship of cooperation between enterprises and suppliers has a strategic meaning to enterprises´ innovation in research and development in fierce market competition today. This paper expounds that relationship investment is an effective means to facilitate cooperation between enterprises and suppliers from the viewpoint of enterprises´ strategic relationship investment. And it also defines the connotation and components of relationship investment, having given a model of effecting mechanism that relationship investment plays in the process of cooperation between enterprises and suppliers. And through theoretic analysis it further holds that relationship investment can enhance suppliers´ trust, satisfaction, and loyalty and raise the barrier of substitute suppliers. And all these will contribute to the realization of lasting cooperation between enterprises and suppliers.
