  • Abstract
This paper presents a simple determination procedure for a CPW broadband equivalent circuit, consisting of a periodic structure of identical cells of lumped elements. For a geometry of the given CPW, the paper also presents a comparison of the time domain responses for the proposed equivalent circuit and the exact response of the line, showing a good agreement between them. This procedure may be applied when a broadband equivalent circuit is developed, starting from measurements data as well as from accurate theoretical data, each performed for a large enough number of frequencies in the frequency band of interest. A CPW equivalent circuit, developed by this method, may be used in the time domain analysis of linear and nonlinear (M)MICs, for any waveform of the input signal
