Abstract :
Describes system testing processes that were standardized for 19 diverse systems during the implementation of a quality improvement plan. Standardization of system test processes improved the process quality and, in turn, the product quality of released software systems. The standard processes developed include: a file management system used to ensure the integrity of the system test; complete general and specific test plans; standard release of systems to the user; and complete documentation for both processes and products. The authors describe how the processes are used
