Abstract :
In this paper, the modeling and control of a new three-level single-stage power-factor-corrected (PFC) ac/dc converter is presented. The converter integrates an AC/DC boost PFC converter and a three-level DC/DC converter. An averaged model of the new converter is derived in the paper and used to design a controller that regulates the output voltage in presence of the input voltage variation and load changing. The developed model is verified on 85-265 Vrms input, 1.2 kW, 48Vdc output converter computer simulation.
