Abstract :
Summary form only given. We have developed a diode pumped Nd:LiYF/sub 4/ based laser system to generate 209.4 nm output. This laser system operates at 400 Hz and utilizes a KTiOPO/sub 4/ harmonic generator to produce 523.5 nm output. This is then doubled to 261.75 nm. We have tested both type I BaB/sub 2/O/sub 4/ and type I CsLiB/sub 6/O/sub 10/ crystals for this process. The 261.75 nm beam is then sum frequency mixed with the residual fundamental beam to produce 209.4 nm output.
