Abstract :
This paper identifies new technology which is helping to deliver a radically improved news making process. The strengths and weaknesses of today´s practices are acknowledged and broadcasters´ future requirements are analysed. As the shape of a new integrated IT based solution takes shape some of the technical issues which arise from this approach are considered
