Abstract
Operating system is the core component in embedded system and its security is the fundament of all the applications based on it and the whole system. Access control technology plays an important role in operating system security and has something special in embedded operating system. In this paper, access control technology is studied, along with its application in some embedded operating systems. Their shortcomings in security are pointed out and a multi-policy access control model is brought forward. At last, this model is designed and tested based on Windows CE.
