  • Abstract
We know that ranking fuzzy numbers plays an important role in decision-making and some other fuzzy application areas. In this paper, a new definition on mean of fuzzy number---quasi-mean is given. Based on the quasi-means and fuzzy degree we propose a new method for ranking fuzzy numbers. This method has the characteristics of generality, less calculation, high efficiency and it is especially tailed to evaluate alternatives which are overlapped. From the numerical examples in the paper, we can see the new method is reasonable and accurate. Furthermore, it´s more in line with the practice in real world.
