Abstract :
A number of parallel Lisp languages on shared-memory multiprocessors have previously been proposed and implemented. However, the current environments for existing Lisp language systems are mostly general purpose workstations(WSs) without shared-memory. The present authors have designed a distributed Lisp (DLisp) system that runs on commonly used environments such as UNIX, X-Window and WSs connected via networks. The implementation of the prototype system has been successful and performance of the system has been promising for the future exploration of distributed co-operative processing systems
