Content-aware smart remote control for Android-based TV

A good human-computer interaction makes it possible for users to interact with a system, machine, device or a complex application program. Unfortunately, the interactive experience between interactive TV and users is limited by the traditional remote control. This paper presents a new interactive technology for handheld devices (e.g. tablet or smart phone) to achieve both the content-aware interaction control and screen sharing. With the technique, developers can easily build up (customize) simple and flexible control views for TV programs, thus enhancing the user experience with interactive TV.
