Abstract :
Two current developments in charge coupled device (CCD) camera readout for HEP detectors are reported. The first one, to be used in a fixed target experiment, can be configured for a megapixel device (frame transfer, single field). It features a detachable sensor head, with high-speed readout via multiple ports, a controller, and a data compactor implemented in VMEbus. The camera is designed for interfacing to the Massive Parallel Processor Computer (MPPC). The second development consists of a system of 72 CCD cameras for the scintillating fiber tracker in the neutrino oscillation experiment. In this case, the CCD is a frame transfer, memory zone device with fast clear implemented using antiblooming control. The readout is done using a commercially available image processor in VMEbus. An outline of the data acquisition system is given.<>
