Abstract :
Along with the DAC technology evolved, it is possible to implement direct RF synthesis using exclusively digital technologies and it promote the rapid progress of transmitter technology for software defined radio (SDR). This paper presents implementation structure of an arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) using direct RF synthesis in FPGA, which include RF carrier generator and RF modulator, can be used to generate a wideband tuning and very fast frequency switching arbitrary waveform.
