Abstract
A technique for monolithic digital-to-analog (D/A) conversion which is based on an extended diode-steering topology is described. Elimination of transistor base-current effects allows high speed and precision to be achieved simultaneously. A practical 16-b converter with a settling time of less than 500 ns to 1/2 LSB is described
