  • Abstract
    This paper presents a software framework to implement connected television. The connected television framework is responsible to support applications running on the television receivers, but also to take advantage of remote processing. It was developed a framework based on free software tools and implemented on a reference set-top box. Sample applications were developed and a set of performance tests was ran. The work results show a framework that is based on free software and that had satisfactory performance.
