  • Abstract
    Summary form only given. Femtosecond regenerative amplifiers based on Cr:LiSAF or Cr:LiSGAF have been demonstrated. We present to our best knowledge the first diode-pumped Cr:LiCAF regenerative amplifier. The maximum extracted pulse energy was 4.6 /spl mu/J at 1 W of absorbed power from three 100 /spl mu/m laser diodes emitting at 670 nm. This is the highest pulse energy extracted from a diode-pumped Colquiriite regenerative amplifier to date.
