Management Decision on the Container Terminal Logistics Based on Witness Simulation

The port transport facilities are always the bottleneck in a Container terminal logistics system. A simulation model of the system based on Witness is developed. The opportunity of purchasing new crane and updating IC toll-gate is studied, when the throughput and stochastic distributing rule is fixed. The improve scheme and evaluating indicator is put forward. Four simulation situations are designed to analyze the effect of the improvement program. The principle of container terminal logistics management decision-making is then provided.
