Abstract

Rural modern distance education in China has become an important approach to promote the quality of rural education and all rural population. But we should not only train the teachers through distance education, but also provide persistent concern and support with them. This essay first analyzes why we should design the teaching support platform, then discusses the conceptual model of the platform, based on this we design a Web-based distance teaching support platform including its system architecture, main function module and main techniques used to implement the platform.
