Abstract
The market competition worldwide being increasingly fierce, numerous organizations come to realize the importance to enhance their own performances. Therefore, most organizations are questing how to optimize their own performance management (PM). This thesis introduces the basic principle, characteristics and operational procedure of PDCA cycle (plan, do, check and action) and discusses its practical significances to promote the PM. And then the application of PDCA cycle in the PM is elaborated through the analysis on each phase of PM system. Finally, some requirements are put forward which should be followed principally during the cycle. That should bring some reference values to the organization´s PM. Hopefully, the thesis could be of help to some organizations and managers.
