Abstract :
Taking Chinese organization and employee as objectives, this article examines whether current findings on person-organization fit are also applicable to the culture in which collectivism and confucian value are widely recognized. This article, discusses the construct of P-O fit and relations between employees´ perceptions of fit and job involvement, OCB and organizational commitment. Mains findings are as follows: (1) Three-type model of P-O fit holds true in Chinese context; (2) P-O fit could predict individuals´ attitudes and behaviors; (3) Supplementary fit is an indicator of employees´ perceptions of both organization and work/job related outcomes, while demands-abilities and needs-supplies fit are found to have significant validity in predicting employees´ attitudes and behaviors on the job and work.
