Abstract
In this paper, a classical method for shaped-beam antenna array synthesis is described with both amplitude and phase control. An efficient algorithm is proposed for this purpose with Davidon Fletcher Dowell and Brogdern Fletcher Goldfarb Shanno (DFP-BFGS) optimization algorithm. The global optimization in this algorithm improve the calculate speed. The very fast convergence of the optimization makes it suitable, even for real-time engineering applications. The good measured result of fabricate antenna is a strong prove.
