Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a novel computer-aided design (CAD) tool based on the artificial neural networks to the analysis of uniaxial discontinuities in rectangular waveguides. The neurons are trained using the continuity conditions of the transverse electric and magnetic fields in the discontinuity plane. The neuromodel is applied to the analysis of well known discontinuities and validated with conventional simulators.
