Abstract :
In this paper, we present an optimal finite impulse response (FIR) filter for linear TIE models of local clocks. A comparison with the unbiased FIR filter is provided. Estimations are carried out for a local crystal clock using GPS-based sawtooth measurements. As a main conclusion, we notice that an optimal solution does not contribute too much to estimation accuracy and the unbiased FIR filter is definitely the best choice for estimation of the TIEs of local clocks.
