Abstract :
An image matching method that based on the modified Hough transform and the line characteristic is proposed in this paper. The image matching method utilizes the characteristic that the runways and roads in the aerodrome edge image are parallel lines. The Canny operator is used firstly to get the edge information, and the modified Hough transform is used to get the main lines from edge information. Then after selects the control lines for matching from the outline of the main lines, the control points is found out by using the control lines, and the transformation relation is created after calculates the matching parameters. Experimental results indicate that the image matching method in this paper has good performance for aerodrome image matching.
