Abstract
A method of investigation of the structure, properties and geometrical parameters of highly absorptive polymer multilayered media using short pulse scanning acoustic microscopy is described. The possibility of successful evaluation and visualization of internal layers having 3% of the total thickness of a sample is demonstrated. A time domain digital processing algorithm is developed to provide a precise thickness measurement of each layer in the layered polymer
