Abstract
Digitization of free-form surfaces is a key technique in surface reconstruction. The digitization of unknown surface is very important in surface digitization. How to carry out sampling properly to the unknown surface relates the surface reconstruction precision. There are shortcomings among the several algorithms that associated with the adaptive measurement for unknown-surface. In this paper, the triangle adaptive measurement method for unknown-surface is proposed. This method realizes the adaptive distribution of measuring points by triangle division on the basis of equal interval measurement data. It provides a new method to enhance the measuring accuracy of unknown-surface.
