  • Abstract
    In this paper, a measure of reflectional symmetry and rotational symmetry is given. First, the definition of reflectional symmetry and rotational symmetry is given in this paper. Then a descriptor of symmetry measure is given. The descriptor is defined as the rate of the area of original image and the area of transformed image. In the discrete case, a method of calculating the descriptor is given. Finally, several examples are given to test the descriptor.
