Abstract :
In this paper, the accuracy of multiple-phase hysteretic current-mode voltage regulators for powering microprocessors is thoroughly analyzed. The inaccuracy issue is pointed out and the root causes is identified. Then to improve the DC regulation accuracy, a new high-accuracy multiple-phase hysteretic current-mode regulator is proposed in the paper based on the accuracy analysis. Finally the experimental results show the effectiveness of this accuracy analysis and this new proposed high-accuracy multiple-phase hysteretic current- mode regulator for powering microprocessors.
