Abstract :
The structural vibration mode can be used as the characteristics parameters for identification of structural damage, achieving the positioning of structural damage through the wavelet transform. However, the identification of structural damage nearby information borders cannot be obtained due to the border effects. As vibration information borders are areas with larger structure loading effect, it is of great significance to realize the damage identification of structural border arrears through suppressing the border effect of vibration information. The existing border inhibitory methods failed to fully consider the characteristics of information itself, leading to the disadvantage with more discontinuity points near original information borders. Based on this point, border effect suppression method according to information expansion is discussed in this paper. As the illustration of calculation, this method can hold the validity and reliability for inhibition of border effect on discrete information interval of structural vibration mode.
